Text messages from Pilots for Humanity
Pilots for Humanity texts people who have agreed to its texts, about its programs and activities, such as requests for help, reminders and sign-up updates.
Message frequency varies: several in a busy week, none for months at other times.
Agreeing to texts
When you sign up with Pilots for Humanity, or later in Notifications in Flight Deck, you'll see this checkbox once you've confirmed your mobile number with a code we text you. It's never ticked for you, you don't have to agree to texts to take part, and you can change your answer there at any time.
Right after you agree, you'll get one text confirming it:
Pilots for Humanity: thanks for agreeing to texts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to stop.
Stopping, starting and help
- Reply STOP to any text to stop them. You'll get one message confirming it, and no more.
- Reply START to get them again.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us below.
- Message and data rates may apply. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Pilots for Humanity does not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- What's kept: your mobile number; your answer about texts, with the wording you agreed to and when; the texts sent to you and your replies; and whether each was delivered.
- How it's used: only to send the texts described here, to keep a record of your answer, and to stop texts when you ask.
